Where to
Find Technical Assistance
Women's Council of REALTORS®,
Technology committee report, Bonita-Estero Chapter,
February 3rd, 2006 |
Finding the right
technical assistance when you need it can be as frustrating as the technical
problem itself.* Here’s some sources to try the
next time you would really prefer to introduce that computer to a hammer.
Phone Assistance
Call the FAR Technical Hotline. It's part of your FAR membership dues!
Friendly service, no charges, no hassles. Mon-Fri, 9:AM-5:PM: 407-587-1450.
OnLine Assistance
Go directly to your software or hardware manufacturer’s website. Just go to
Google.com, enter the name of the company that made your program or
computer, and click the “I’m Feeling Lucky” button. It’s amazing how well
that works.
Another OnLine source is “Ask Mr. Internet” at
http://www.realtor.org/rmomag.nsf/pages/AskMrInternet
Mr. Internet is the alter-ego of Michael J. Russer, an Internet speaker,
trainer, author, and consultant, who works through Realtor.org to answer
REALTORS’® technical questions. His eMail address is
help@askmrinternet.com.
Monthly Meeting Assistance
Got a question? Find a Technology
Committee member at the monthly Luncheon.
They'll help you, or refer you to someone who can. |
